Annotation:
The microenvironment of nonaqueous polyoxyethylene (4) lauryl ether (Brij 30) reverse micelles was studied by ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy method. As optical probe o-nitroaniline was selected. The reverse micelles were modified by organic solvents, insoluble in hexane. The microemulsions were prepared by dissolving of appropriate amount of polyoxyethylene (4) lauryl ether in hexane, then small amounts of dimethylformamide, acetonitrile and glacial acetic acid were added. It was found, that binding of o-nitroaniline to the polar head groups is weeker in the presence of dimethylformamide in the core of reverse micelles as compared with water.
